We deliver to all of Western New York.   Locations must be relatively level and have access to be able to back the trailer with our vehicle. We suggest a minimum of 20' x 10' of space for the Sauna.  If you are staying at a rental, such as an airbnb, check with your host to make sure it is okay to park the sauna at their property. We are happy work with you and the homeowner to ensure a seamless delivery!

For extended rentals, we’re also willing to deliver beyond our normal service area. Just reach out with your location and rental length, and we’ll work with you to make it happen.

We will deliver the sauna around 5pm on your chosen day.  Pickup is generally by 3pm on last day of your rental.  We will try to be flexible with pick-up and drop-off times so please leave us a note when booking on what works best for you!

The sauna comfortably accommodates 4–6 adults at a time, but can fit more for groups who enjoy a closer, more social sauna experience. Because sauna bathing naturally involves rotating in and out in short rounds (typically 10–15 minutes in traditional Finnish style), larger groups often find it easy to share the space without feeling crowded.

We thoroughly clean and sanitize our sauna between every rental using a specially formulated antibacterial sauna cleaner. This disinfectant–deodorizer–fungicide eliminates germs, mold, mildew, and surface microorganisms on contact, while also breaking down embedded dirt and grime to restore the natural luster of our Northern Cedar interior. Combined with cedar’s natural resistance to moisture, insects, and fungal growth, our cleaning routine keeps the unit fresh, hygienic, and in top-tier condition for every guest.

All rentals include 2 complimentary bundles of firewood, with the option to purchase more at the time of booking. We’re also happy to accept cash on delivery for additional wood-just email us with the number of bundles you’d like anytime before your rental date.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, you can do so free of charge up until 14 days prior to rental period, after which you will be charged a 25% cancellation fee. 

Bookings are non-refundable 1 week prior to rental period. All refunds are at the discretion of Heat Retreat.

Our traditional wood-burning, Finnish sauna, is complete off grid and requires no electrical hookup.  The temperatures for a healthy sauna range from 160-200 degrees and it should take 45 minutes to an hour to reach this optimal temperature.

There will be a tutorial on how to start, operate, and reload the wood-burning Kuuma sauna stove at the time of drop off.  We will set you up for success in achieving your desired room temperature and happy to help get the stove going for you right away, if you'd like.
